Proceeds go to support the following:
As a collaboration with Black Headline News, ONME News has expanded the citizen journalism program to focus on joint issues affecting California and Texas Black communities, exploring their commonalities and differences.  Fellowships are also provided for independent, certified journalists who are a part of the program, who then work with the collaborating media outlets to cover key news in the following subject areas:  state and regional politics, climate science, green/innovative technology, environmental justice, and the legal system.
